RM Gold Edition

In tribute to the 50th Anniversary since the release of Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange, the Estate of Herman Makkink has produced a small edition of 2 (with an Artist Proof) of his infamous Rocking Machine sculpture.

 

A scale model made from Makkink’s original mould, identical to the one used in the 1971 production, but instead of finished in white, covered in gold lacquer. Together with the internal kinetic rocking mechanism, designed as like the original.

The final Rocking Machine Gold Edition - 2nd of an edition of 2- will be auctioned at Bonhams‘The Male Form’ sale in New York.

 

The first edition of 2 was succesfully sold last November 2021 at Bonhams ‘Pop X Culture’ sale in London
