Christ Unlimited

Makkink made the first set of 4 pairs of dancing Christs in his studio at St. Katharine’s Docks in 1969. They were also a focal point in Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange during a famous scene in the film, where the main character experiences hallucinations while listening to Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. No more editions were produced by Makkink until 2005 when MEDICOMTOY made reproductions under his supervision.
